Pleasing Art

Pleasing art is all in the taste of the person creating and buying my art. What you see may not be for you.

What do you find pleasing in the art world

I know what I find pleasing or I would like to think I do. Some times our taste change as we age and I am no different. One of the things I have found is that there are so many different style and mediums to work in. I can always create and find something new. Pleasing my customers and clients is always first, because of the joy it brings to us both.

Abstract is using shape, color, texture, line that doesn’t represent any recognizable reality. The focus is on the paint. Pleasing art that takes you in a path of discovery.

Realism an actual depiction of everyday objects, people and places in full and detailed works of art.

Impressionism is the use of fragments of brush strokes that depicts real life which focuses on light and shadow. The light dances across the canvas with every brush stroke.

Expressionism this style focus is on emotions and experience the artist uses color, shape and distortion to create an emotional piece of art.

Cubism shows us that geometric shape and multiple points of view is the focus on this style.

Surrealism shows us a dream like mindset and explores the subconscious mind which can be an illusion of the artist mind.

More pleasing art styles

These are just a few more styles that you may want to explore.

Baroque a highly decorative and dramatic style that focus on vibrant rich colors, details with intense light and shadows leaving us with a sense of grandeur.

Art Nouveau uses nature and long lines showing us a sensual and decorative style. Incorporate trees, vines, insects and objects into a pleasing visual experience.

Pop art shows the effects of the industrial era that is a representation of cultures in a repetition of production. The colors are bright, vibrant and everyday people and objects with a humorous effect.

Minimalism style is no extras by putting the focus on the basic elements, simple and honest. Art is uncluttered only using what is needed to create the art.

Picking a style is a personal choice, trying a new or different style can give us an understanding of what is pleasing for the era and cultures in and around the world.
