Building art is the goal. How you get there is up to you. I want to go over some of the past articles to help us remember how we got here. Sometimes we need to go back to go forward.

We all know how to scribble on a sheet of paper. Artist like myself doddle with purpose our scribble turns into shapes with light and shadows. Countless hours doing rough drawings to work out compositions in away that we can relate to every eye that scans across our finished piece of Art.

From a rough drawing to execution is the foundation we practice everyday. I start with an idea when I see something that inspires me. I have total control over the vision and execution of my art. Every art project starts with a plan.

Building art is worth sharing

Sharing and selling art is why we want a great foundation. I worked hard at my craft and appreciate the people that helped me to grow without forgetting the basics.

My viewers and customers deserve to see my best work. I want to be known for my work. The is no greater feeling when someone finds my work appealing and over joyed when they purchase it.

Building art is a process so sometimes I look back to the beginning. It can be like riding a bike they say you won’t forget. I say it never hurts to look back to see where you came from and share it. Here are some of the highlights in the basics like:

Composition Equals Balance you want balance in your work, so by creating a piece that draws attention into your world.

The four keys of a picture explains the overall value of the picture. The tone of the picture is based on a scale from the darkest to the lightest tones and the darkest to the brightest of colors. The picture areas is where we set the mood or the feel of the piece of art. This is where your composition comes to life.
