I am inspired by animals, insects, plants, trees and water. Well I guess just being alive is an inspiration and I can see the potential in so many things. I live my life this way so I am always ready to express and create some thing beautiful.
This example of just one of an object that inspired me to take immediate action. It was a two foot hornets’ nest. What a great opportunity to take pictures with my phone. I must consider eye levels and how the light plays on the nest, so I know the best way to capture the details.
Walking home with my dog Grace I have already put together some compositions in my head. So I am total inspired by the shape and the size of the massive nest. I have to decided do I want to draw or paint it. I’m home so next is to do some rough drawings and pick the one that represents this massive nest. so it’s time to get started.
Inspired By Everything
As you can see here how just one object can unfold into a great piece of art.
Here is how I use line to define light and shadow.
When I want to define my drawing I use shape of texture.
Creating a pattern in each section helps me define the object.
Continue I am defining light, shadow and pattern.
Here you can see the balance between light and shadow brings the details to life.
Intentional pencil strokes are how I am create this piece.
The final step is to clean this up mat it, frame it and add it to the Gallery
I know that inspiration is all around me because everything I see with my eyes, my mind converts into a picture area. A picture area that is outlines and places each objects to unfold my vision. I love the way color, light and shadows change the same objects in a space at different times of the day. it excites my imagination. Taking an object, drawing it in pencil will bring out the contrast because it showing off the gray scale. Now as you can see my choice was to do my drawing without adding any color and it is still full of interest.
