Working art into my summer is outside in my gardens. Every season is filled with different colors and textures into my landscaping.
Working art landscaping
Choosing the plan is like laying out a painting. First thing is to know the object is to frame the center of interest in this case my house.
Each side of my house is accented by perennials and tree that anchor my property. I choose trees that bring interest every season and all have great color too.
Planting bulbs is a great way I get a pop of color seasonally. Working art is always changing with your vision of the space, so why not try new things.
Maintaining your work of art
Every season the growth dies off so, I cut off or dig out the dead. New plants grow next to the plants covering the dorm it plants.
Planting annuals in and around my house adds interest and I love that every season has something new. New opportunities to move plants around start after the first frost and in the fall before the ground freezes.
My garden has water features, so my pond needs to be opened in the spring. This means checking all the water lines, checking for loose rock and cleaning up left over debris. The fountains need uncovered filled with water.
Fall clean-up is cleaning up, from leaves to cutting back you bushes and trees. Working art into my surroundings is a gift to my neighbors, because they get a different painting every season.
Working Art is adding interest
Okay so not only do I plant flowers, trees and water features I love just adding a piece of sculpture.
Our property has a fenced in back yard so I was able to add a trellis at the entrance. My patio is where my tropical plants live from May to October. So, adding my tropical plants out bring more colors that frame my views to the gardens.
