Using art in your favor is not something new, we all use art in our lives every day. The path that my work has taken has help create my reputation. Connections with people is the leverage I use in my favor.
Working with other I can see the openings to add more people to my contacts. I love the exposure because I want people to see my work.
Using art to communicate
Communication is the best way to make friends. Connecting with people because I want to share my visions with you. My work opens doors because it brings joy to people. People come up to me and we talk about my skills and why I am an artist. It is a way I keep the work coming in.
Most of us, I know I am drawn to things I find appealing. So when I like it I figure someone else will like it to. I love going the extra mile to show off my skills.
One of the best things is talking about my work and how it started as a thought that inspired me to take it to the next level. The process it takes to create artwork and why I use the mediums I do is always something I’m will to talk about.
Finding opportunity
I love to teach and one of the best ways to find students is to volunteer or to hold free classes. Everyone that signs up for my classes is at least ten more connection.
Through some of my connections I have found places to hang my art work where they get a lot of exposure. The commission work helps to support me and creates an income for my art business.
Using art has given me opportunities and lifelong friends that are happy to refer me to people that can be potential clients.
Anytime anywhere I can share my work I will do it. Art associations, art fest, galleries, nursing homes, restaurants and offices are places I have hung and sold work. I don’t want to forget about social media because it is a great way to meet and connect with people.
Of course here is another place to share my work.
