I Really Hate Marketing

So many days and I wake up saying not today, I don’t want to do any marketing. I would just like to create the art and let someone else do this for me. It’s not that I don’t know what to do I just don’t want to do it.

I would rather just skip this part, yet I know it is the way to go. I want to sell my art so I can continue making more. I did so many years on the road carrying my work day after day and from show to show that I’m tired of that.

So here I am once again this time my marketing will be for my work as well as for the companies and teachers that helped me. Now here the kicker, by learning from them I found my most valuable asset.

Time, the time I spend marketing my one and done paintings and drawings I could be in the studio creating another spectacular piece. Ready to show on debradehoffanimalartist.com

I am still loading pictures of my work because I just find it so time consuming. Along with taking care of my home and family I still have to make time for studio time. I am ready to down size the amount of time I spend on the computer.

So I will be looking to outsource some of the work next year. I figure with the vacation time and both my boys are in their last year of school. One in college and one a senior in high school. So getting him ready for college is on the top of the list.

I know if you really want something you have to work at it. So…Thank you to all the valuable information. I use email marketing, social media and SEO to keep everything a float. Which is good even though some days I would rather look at pin’s than do any email campaigns.

Well actually if you get my newsletter as an email you can see I have been neglecting my sites. I try to make sure there updated so you can actually see it. I hate juggling all this even though I know more people will see my work and buy it.

Marketing to Emotions

The greatest ads in the world are based on emotions. Fear, love and everything in between, from cards to beer. The advertising business is all about tapping into your emotional memory.

These ads enter your world without you realize it. They tap the feelings that you may or may not know. There are subtle ads that are worn on labels, such as clothing, shoes, handbags and food. These might be the smartest of all because they make you feel as if you’re a part of the popular crowd.

We know that we want the best that life has offers to offer. Those that can afford the best enjoy showing off. There is nothing wrong with that. Just as there is nothing wrong with not caring about anything except the fit.

I personally don’t care to pay someone to wear their name. I am more about the fit. Although as a marketer I do have to a line my thinking to reflect the brand I am marketing.

What that means is I am going to hit you with whatever it takes to get you to buy into the product at hand. It may be to helping a company get its brand started. I am going to recruit you buy the promise of being part of a special group of people who what you to succeed because we can all make this company together. Growing up from the ground floor means being on the top of the earning machine.

To get in make as much as you can fast, I can promise you a chance to win a new car or a trip to the Caribbean as an incentive to recruit other to share this business model. Great pay just for sharing and showing others how to do the same.

Sounds like the greatest opportunity, you buy a certain amount of the product to share and the company gives you a web site, access marketing training and the advertising material. With a meeting once a month and all you have to do is share.

This is a great business model. It does work if you are prepared to put your time and effort in, because there are no free rides. You are starting a business by help others get there brand out to the public. There are business opening up every day that rely on this type of business. Once the business takes off be prepared to move onto the next company.

This business model plays on the urgency of not being left behind when it comes to making large amounts of money and it is there to be made. They have the support you need to succeed.

You’re looking helping them but all so helping yourself by getting what you need to achieve your business goals. A win, win is what you hear as you rise up the latter to success.

The thing is that most people fall prey to believing that they can do it. These people help build up these companies but never make the money they thought they would make. Most of the time it is because they don’t have the mind set you need to make money and move on.

You see they join thinking this is their ticket to working with people they like and selling a product and company with will be loyal to them for years to come. There is only 20 percent of the people recruited will become that marketing professional that lives a six figure life.

Get Out There With Your Product

I would love for you to be a success in your marketing your product. It is easy once you get yourself motivated to look at all sides of your business and decide what your goals are. Today there is more people fighting to sell their products on the inter-net.

When you figure out your goals moving forward is just that. Taking action is doing the same thing day in and day out. That’s why it is important that you like what you do.

I really love drawing and painting. I want to share what I do. Does anyone need what I produce? I doubt it. Does it fill a need? Yes it does, for years people have been drawn to art because they want to capture the beauty around us. They like to surround themselves with pictures of the animals, people, place and things the love, because it brings them joy.

So I guess I do have a marketable product and skill. The best way I can market it is to let people see past the pictures and get to know me. I am the story behind the pictures.

When you open yourself up to the public it is scary at first. Everyone I know is hesitant at first. Most of us like our privacy and that’s okay.

You are the one who share what you want with the public. Most of us don’t have anything to worry about were not running for office.

Networking is just getting to know the people who may or may not want what your product. If they don’t they may know someone who might. That is why it is so important for us to learn the skills we need to get out there.

If you want control over the marketing of your product on the inter-net you need to know how the marketing works. Than you have to be willing to invest time and if you’re willing to invest time doing the same thing over and over you will succeed.

Learn about SEO, auto-responders even if you’re not doing them yourself. See how social-media works and pick the one that works best for you. It is a process and it takes time to learn.

Get yourself known on the inter-net in the circles that will support you and guide you. Share the mile stone in your business with the public. Your hobbies and interests do matter to the people who turn on the computer. We all want to be accepted and recognized for who we are and what we represent.

Market Your Art Work

So, I started this website to sell my art work and found that just because you build it…doesn’t mean they will come. Well, that’s only in the movies.

There are only a few things left to do. One of them is to build both sides simultaneously. The other thing is to work on one site at a time. Okay, so I decided that it’s time to overhaul the marketing side by hearing it towards one specific thing and that is showing artists or anyone how to use marketing tools to promote their website.

The one thing that most of us want more than anything is to get our products out in front of people. One of the best tools has been social media. I’m not just talking about the social media on the computer. There is social life every time you leave your front door and you interact with the people around you.

I think it’s because we try so hard to make an impression so that people will remember us and share what we have with others. I am an artist and most artists that I know generally would rather be working in a studio. Not that we’re antisocial. It’s just our creative side is so strong and one we are in the flow It’s hard for us to do anything else.

One of the most important things an artist can do is learn how to market their product. We put our heart and soul into each piece of art work. We create and sharing it with the world is easier than ever. The world is an open marketplace with so many places where we can share our works of art.

We went to take our product and getting in front of as many people as we can. So naturally the computer is our friend. As we go through the steps of getting your work out there. Remember that each your work is your business. It’s what you make of it.

Start with the first step is start taking pictures of all your work. Every single piece of art work you have created take a picture of it. Take pictures of your art work as you doing it’s not as hard as you think everyone has a camera phone, and if they don’t take a picture with any camera you can find even if you have to use the one on your laptop.

The goal here is to show your art work or product to as many people as possible. Start by opening up accounts on any social media site that you find will honor you as a person and your work.

Start posting the pictures on the social sites that you have joined. With each picture you post make a comment of whatever is closest to your heart. You want people to know about your product, your art work. Now while you’re doing this it is to be distracted by the web. You’re going to have to look at this more as an opportunity and dedicate a specific amount of time to it.

There are so many ways that you can communicate and be creative on the Internet that is very important to remember why you’re here. The opportunity to express yourself as a person comes out in your artwork and as much time as you are willing to put in.

 Creating a place where people can see your work and buy your work can be done any where you want it to be.

Marketing a Bold Move

Marketing is an easy way to spend a lot of your money quick and easy. Partnering with companies to advertise their product is a great way to make money. Why not use your experience and knowledge to market yourself.

Face it if you don’t want to work hard, starting a business may not be your best bet. I don’t consider any money I spent as a loss. I learned so much from everyone I worked with. As a marketer you are constantly learning. I think my thirst for the knowledge on how marketing on the net works was more important than the money I spend.

I have been running more than one business of my own since the nineties. I have been marketing myself for as long as I can remember. I am an artist. I am interested on selling my work or product to people via the internet. I tried on line galleries and decided that I wanted to have a site that would feature my work 100% of the time.

Do to some unfortunate events I found myself getting away from what I loved to do. Art is what I love spending my time on. I thought I could do more and found out that there were too many things to juggle. I spent less time on what I wanted to do. My intent was to gain knowledge to promote myself on line as an artist.

I found so many different great experts that it was hard for me to keep up. So when I found a good fit I stuck with it. I soaked up as much information as I could for as long as I could. I know that the value was in the actions not only the details. So many companies have great products too and I still use many of them today.

A life threatening event changed everything for me. I now concentrating on my art and my family more than anything I want to share my work with you. Spending more time with the ones I love is the best part of my life. The marketing is the easy part. Now making a move to concentrate on this business is a bold move I won’t have to travel unless I want to and I will be taking my family and friends with me when I go.

I am filled with gratitude to Mike, Jonathan, Jimmy and Brian just to name a few of my mentors for teaching me sometimes it takes a bold move to find your real path.

Photography And Advertising

The best thing about photography is to share what you have with others. Digital photography changed the way we capture a time. With the editing tools on our computers we can change our photos into works of art or advertising.

Photography is a great way to get your message out to the world. Companies use photography for marketing, product photos are just is to show-off the unique quality the company has to offer. Just by adding a few words you are creating a call to action.

I explore the way our senses influence our emotions. Advertisers use photography to sell anything they can. The right advertising can put your company on top in the niche it wants. Companies do research to find out what works the best for them. They are trying to get a message to you. They want your business and are will to do what it takes.

Our sense is the focus of advertising that companies strive to touch. Things that get our attention is as simple as what we smell, a noise we hear, a touch or seeing things that brings pleasure or pain. Our nose can’t always smell a photo, but a picture of someone smelling something will peak our interest. Our minds will remind us what is good or bad.

We can’t always experience things when we want, but our memories have thousands of things we like or dislike. So when we can’t smell it ourselves we may have that smell locked in our memory ready when needed. That is a powerful tool when you want to sell people on how great something smells. The photos take your mind to what the product may smells like.

People love photos because the visual aids awake our thoughts. Our brains are always searching for stimulation. Photos get the message across and when you add a great copy writer, you have a formula for a successful campaign.

When creating an ad, the composition is very important. It is the image and copy that will get your message out. Your ad is commanding a response subconsciously using a desired emotional response.

Pleasure and pain are the two emotions used most in advertising. You are either searching for pleasure or trying to get away from pain. Ads designed to get a message out to as many people as they can. We use photos as a part of the composition because it is tool that works fast to get our attention.

The next time you’re out and about notice the ads that attract your attention. Are they using photography? Study the ad to see what it does for you. Be aware of the typed message and where it is placed in the ads.

Photography and fonts create a feast for your eyes, so you will want to have the materials in front of you. Technology fills the need. We can have every tool we need at our finger tips. Today it is easier than ever to merge your photos in to advertising.

Some pictures are so powerful that they need no words to move you in a direction. For example if I take a photo of an image that is also the logo. You can manipulate the background to create an emotional response with just a quick glance is you build a reputation for quality and safety.

One word is powerful when it represents the product. This word is the brand so the font is very important. The brand is what your mind identifies with, one powerful word is Nike. This company uses the products and makes it possible to show both emotions based on the font and word alone. The word added to this advertising composition part of the ad and the message.

Advertisers make a choice to use one word as their logo building a photo campaign of photographs that show people using their product, by making sure the logo is in a place in the composition that draws your eye.

Companies sell the idea that using these products will change your life. Photography is a powerful tool and advertising would not be the same without it. You have something to say or just want to advertise your product think about how you can use a photo in your ads.

Think about how photography is a silent, odorless nudge to get you to take some type of action. The action is simple you may want what I have and if you like it, pass it on.

Artist and Marketing

Creativity and selling are just a part of life. You can’t have one without the other. Everything screams artistic in the world of marketing.

Commercial artists create the tools that put emotion and selling into the same category. They create the clip art, ads, fonts, and photography. Put together with the right copy writer the ad they create will produce an emotional response. It is this response that the seller is going to open your wallet.

Artists from all over the world use their minds to come up with something that will leave an impression. There are many creative ways artists play a part in the advertising business. Art is only worth something if it connects with you emotionally.

Advertising is everywhere from billboards to clothing. People become so emotional attached to designers that they are willing to wear their label. Fans love their sport teams they are willing to brand themselves with it. They say it in their loyalty to products created by that artist. If duplication is the highest form of flattery, musicians take a bow. We love a style, music or status so we want to adapt it for our own and by doing so we show our appreciation for the one who created it.

Advertising puts the product in front of you to trigger an emotional response from you. Love it or hate it, they are counting on you enough to help spread the word. They do this with by using your subconscious mind. The effects good or bad you will share it with someone, that’s our nature.

Artist and marketing are like peanut butter and jelly. Artists produce the work with images, music and words and spread it where we can see it. Television, inter-net, billboards, newspapers and magazines are some of the ways they get the word out.

How many of us can watch a greeting card commercial without it effecting us. The images, the music and the copy, the words are no mistake. Now you will remember the name or brand around this advertising. You may tell a friend or you see a poster with a photo taken from the commercial it brings back those emotion prompting you to buy a card. They leave these pictures inside of store fronts, in the bus we ride and the magazines we read. Every reminder is there to prompt you to buy a card.

The fine artist is looking for you to get that feeling when you view their latest creation. So as every artist will tell you the more work you get out there the better off you are. You need to advertise yourself as much as your work.

Networking is getting yourself in front of people who can and will help you get your work out. They do this by word of mouth and that is one of the best forms of advertising in the world. They become your testimonial on your character, communication skills and work.

Every artist needs to create a brand or a style that they are comfortable with. Getting known through your work is another thing that artists and marketing have in common. Great advertising is high in demand especially now that we do it in so many ways.

The computer has opened billions of store fronts for you to advertise in. Skills as an artist give you a new avenue to explore the creative juices follow when you see the possibilities. You can have your own web-site, use social media as a way to create events to show your work and to keep many people aware of what you are creating. Who knows you may want to explore creative software for your computer to create computer images and a fast growing art form.

The artist becomes part of the market when they use their skills to aid in the advertising of product whether it is theirs or someone else. Designing a website around your work can work as your personal gallery. People can find your website view your work, if you advertise. So you see that artists and marketing real do support each other and always will.

Building Business Relationship on-Line?

Lasting relationships on-line star with social media. Look at the way I use it. Is there a way to approach your friends and prospective customers by using these social sites to market?

I don’t like to play the games on these sites. I want to build relationships with people by having conversations. I don’t want to spend my time playing games on-line.

So I asked some experts, what do you get out of playing these games? My sons, they play more games on-line more than anyone I know. They opened my eyes to how they use these games. While playing video games they communicate with people on the inter-net daily. They build relationships with new people as they enter the games. So if you are someone who is comfortable playing games and you have many people in your gaming circle it can open a door for you to find out more about them. I talked to people of all ages they all got something different out of gaming on the inter-net but they all said it is to connect to others that have the same interest.

I know that these sites have opened the door to marketing and unfortunately inter-net marketing spam. When my wall is full of every offer under the sun, it drives me crazy. All I want is the good stuff that my friends are sharing. I know that by build a circle of friends you open yourself up to what they want to share. Do you listen to what you are adding to the conversation. You want to build relationships with people. Listening to what they tell you is showing them that they matter to you. Whether you do it playing the games or commenting on a post, you need to become involved with the people if you want them to listen to you. We are people first and marketers second. As you log on to these sites there is a time and place to bring your offer to the table. If you have to think about whether or not to post an offer, don’t do it. When a door opens start a conversation as your relationship grows introduce your business and any offers that you want to share. When you want me to hear about your offer, send a personal message you don’t have to post it. I am willing to listen to your offer.

People in any relationship want to feel good about it. Getting friends or followers doesn’t give you anything except a number unless you are building relationships. Looking at what you want from these social media sites.Think before you just start posting quotes and offers. You are on a site to build a relationship. Do you really throw a quote out there every time you talk to your friends or hit them with a sales offer? I don’t. I want to listen to what they need or want and offer them a solution so they know I care.

I know that it is hard when you are starting out to get people to listen to you, but think about what you want in a business relationship and then build it. When you bring value to a relationship people stand up and notice you for the person you are. People do business with people they like and trust. We want to have relationships that grow and change, so think before you post. I look forward to all the relationships I build. I think that social media is there to connect people who have the same interest. I connect with marketers, artist, mothers sisters, brothers the list goes on and on. I wonder why you accepted my friendship if they don’t want to get to know me. I am more than a number you add to your prospect list.

Who Are You Selling?

You have partnered with a company that is selling products and you are ready to move forward. The doubts set in and you ask yourself is this the products and is this the company that going to change my life? If you think it is just about these things you may not see what you have in front of you.

The opportunity is more than an opportunity to start business it is a way to welcome change into your life. This is your business and yes the product is important, but you are what matters. Be clear that in a marketing business you have to invest money to make money. This business model is no different, it works and it has proven it’s self over the years. You are just doing is on the inter-net. This like any business is not for those who want to get rich quick. It takes time, money and patience to build a business.

The income is defiantly there for the taking for the people willing to work for it. Business owners know the reason they started their business. Do you know your reason? Is it to support yourself, your family or to get extra money for college? These are great reasons for starting a business. Get in touch with why you want to do this in the first place? If you doubt why you are here, maybe you should get out. You must own your place in your business. You are there to take charge of your life and your finances.

Who are you selling? Get the right mind-set by getting involved. You made a choice to do this. Working at it building your business is not an option. We all have growing pains when we got started. Take part in the training, improve on the skills that you need to run your business. This is what you have to do. No one is going to hand you anything.

An entrepreneur is the person who believes in their business. They are building something greater than themselves. They have a clear vision of where they want to go and what it is going to take to get there. In the beginning it is you, your money, but mostly your time. As things progress you will recruit people to do what you don’t have time for or don’t want to do yourself. Every business adventure no matter how small is going to have challenges. Meet them head on. We all have fears it is those who move forward with fear who conquer it.

Most people have to see themselves in a role before they are willing to do it every day. This is your business and your responsibility to the choice you made when you partnered with the company. People are counting on you to do your part. Just because they presented you the opportunity, doesn’t mean they owe you. Marketing your business or some ones products is the business you are in and it is your responsibility to do just that. Find the training and dominate quickly. Now put it in action.

Starting a business is a choice. You are not selling anything. Take the time to build business relationships. Be kind to everyone and treat them with respect. In business we are all connected to someone who knows someone else. Running your business with integrity and it will show.

What Affect Do Your Words Have On Your Mind Set?

I started this day with a teaching on self-control, practicing disciple in your thoughts and words. I know how powerful words are especially in any relationship. As a business owner you may need this teaching as much as I did. As my business grows so does my accountability that’s because we are all teachers by example. My true self is my thoughts and my words. When a person tells them self that their thoughts and words are not important, they are telling their self that they are not important.

As children we knew only the world around our parent. Emotional we need acceptance by the people we know, depend on and respect. We think the way our parents think, it is what we know until we meet other people outside our family unit. They tell us day in and day out how to think. They transfer their thoughts on to us with their words. When you speak or are spoken to in a negative way you will continue to think that way. You are the only one that can change your mind. That will happen as you take control of our thoughts.

If you don’t think you have negative thoughts then don’t waste your time reading this article. You can talk until your blue in the face, but until you listen to yourself you will not hold yourself accountable for your words. Talking out loud to yourself is one of the most powerful things you can do. You may find that you are not listening to the words that come out of your mouth. How many times a day do you hear yourself saying something negative? Are the words coming from your thought or someone else’s? You are on a path that exercises self-control, so fill your words with positive messages and repeat them every day. Your mind will start to change as it absorbs these positive messages.

Now what does that have to do with business you may ask? Well when we think about the words we speak and the words that are spoken to us and around us we can see their power. Negative words and thoughts affect how we see ourselves and others. Part of having a positive character is self-respect and disciple. You will not change your life or your business if you listen to others spew negative words and thoughts day in and day out. Be the positive voice in your head.

Growing as person is a journey. Changes will take place as you practice self-control. It is life changing when you look back and see how words affect how you think. Positive thoughts replace negative ones. We don’t listen to others when they are gossiping or speaking negative word because we are busy working on not being like that person. We drop our attitude so that our minds can think freely about forming an opinion based on facts. As you become less absorbs in how things affect you, focus on your thoughts, how will my words affect people when they are around me. Warning! When you have freedom of thought you may start repelling negative people, because you will not feed in to their mind-set.

No one I do business with wants to be around a complaining business person. They don’t have time for your lack of respect for them or yourself. They want to hear what you are going to bring to the table as your relationship grows. A positive person will look for solutions and collaboration. A disciple person thinks before they speak knowing that their words have power.

The things you say to yourself, you will live. Are you a wonderful person with some bad habits? We all need to listen to the words that come out of our mouth.

  • Be too busy working on yourself to care about what others say.
  • I don’t care who is do what with whom, because I don’t have time for gossip.
  • I holding myself accountable for my thought.
  • I have enough to work on in my life. I am a work in progress.
  • I will not point my finger at someone and speak negative words.
  • I am too busy walking in my shoes to care who is walking in someone else’s shoes?
  • I refuse to deceive myself by thinking that I can pass on this teaching without working on it myself.
  • I can see my true self by listen to the words I speak.
  • I teach by living as an example that others.

I will tell myself everyday that I am free and able to listen to the words that come out of my mouth. Replacing bad habits for good ones is just another way that we prepare our self to step in to our role as a creditable person. People who are in business are there because they are different and they embrace it. They enjoy thinking outside of the box and like to give back. They enjoy problem solving and are constantly improving on themselves, only looking back to see how far they have come. A person is only truly free if he uses his mind and doesn’t let emotion control of the words that come out of his mouth. The things you tell yourself is what you live.
