Artist reset is how we keep our sanity, because we are isolated a lot of the time. We are growing our knowledge of are craft. We deliver the best of use in our work.
Why do an artist reset
I can only speak for myself and what I have gone through. Am I selfish? Yes, I am because I need time to rest and recharge my creative juices. We work to improving our skills and knowledge while keeping a burning desire to create.
An obsession that can drive you to insanity if you let it. I start a drawing or painting and it drives me to finish it. Sometimes the next idea manifest while I am work on another piece. The thought are always present. Even as I’m writing this article my mind is working out the colors on the painting in my studio.
When I recharge it is because I am forced to or because I adjust my priorities to attended to and support my family’s needs. There is endless reasons I need a recharge and now that I am getting older more issues find their way to interfere with my studio time.
Artist reset to help with depression
Burn out is another reason we need to recharge, when I am burnt out it shows in my work, my family and mental health. So it is accentual for me, which is hard because my time is limited to 24 hours a day. Going into a depressed state steals time away everything I love.
I refresh by getting outside walking with my dog, Zoe or working in my gardens. Playing games is another way to deal because it is an escape that gives my brain a rest. Going out with friends is another way I energize to keep on track.
We are all different so find what works best for you maybe physical like exercise or yoga depending on your activity level. The reason is because the exercise increases the blood flow helping our overall health.
It is easy for me to feel over whelmed so yes I need to recharge it keeps me grounded on keeping my goal and my creativity fresh and coming from a great place.
