Taking Accountability Builds Self-Respect

The most important thing we have at the end of the day is our character. When you practice self-respect and discipline it shows in everything you do. Do you know how to earn respect from others? Try confronting yourself honestly before you go any further.

How do you live your life? Can you look at what you do, when you do it and how you do it with pride? Is it all about you? Hopefully this article will help you think about what you do and how you do it. Do you get a positive outcome from others by the decisions that you make?

Taking accountable for your decisions keeps you on top of your life. You cannot live a life full of chaos, only doing the right thing every once and awhile. If you do don’t expecting to live a wonderful life. Everything that is good requires discipline and self-control. Doing the right thing is contagious and people will follow you when you have a positive and caring outlook on life. You do what you say that you are going to do, when you say you’re going to do it. It will be a part of who you are and others will notice.

Remember discipline is making some things subject to other things. Ask yourself this. If I do this is there a positive outcome for all? Don’t live your life waiting for someone else to hold you accountable. If you are not disciplined you will act first and think about it afterwards.

Everyday discipline affects your live in one way or another. Love yourself enough to take the higher road when it comes to making moral decisions. Remember we do what we do because it brings us joy while we are doing it. A person that practices the moral high ground will take responsibility for their actions and the words that come out of their mouth.

Are you a person that wants what others have, without doing the work? How do you think they got to where they are? Nothing is free everything has a cost. I don’t know anyone that has not paid with time and money to get where they are today. If you walk through your day jealous, if you complain about others and spread gossip around then you have no self-respect.

You will find out so much about yourself if you listen to the words that come out of your mouth. A person that takes the high road has a plan to deal with situations that come up. Deal with each decision by realizing the difference between a destructive out come and a positive outcome. They practice discipline by thinking about the decisions before they act. Taking the emotion out of your decision and going forward with confidence is hard work. It is even harder when you realize that it is not about you. It is about doing the right thing.

Admitting when you are wrong and accept the consequences for your decisions good or bad is part of a good character. A disciplined person goes through life knowing that if you want something you have to work for it. If you think hanging around with someone will get you want, you are wrong it doesn’t rub off on to you. Any success you have will not last and the only way to get what you want is to do the work. Take classes to develop skill you can use to work on your character and celebrate the steps along the way.

Treat people how you want them to treat you. Be mindful of everything you do. Helping others when it is right to do so.That doesn’t mean you do it for them. Making mistakes is humbling and serves a purpose in building character. We all stumble before we walk. Our past is not who we are at this time. When we strive to do better it shows in every part of our life and it is important for the relationships we have to grow. You want people to remember you for the good you do on purpose. Take the high road even though it may not have as many people on it as the low road it is more rewarding. The journey is not easy and there are bumps along the way. Anything worth getting is not easy or everyone would do it.

Do you go to sleep at night happy about the person you are? Do you feel that every decision you make today is getting you to the success you want? Are you honest with yourself or hiding behind a fear to act in good character. You don’t have to care what others think, because you live your life on the high road. The people there know you and have the same life style. As you carry out the skill it takes to live a disciplined life, you will earn respect from the person that matters the most, you. Others will see the respect you have for yourself, your life and your business and as you grow so will the respect you earn from others.

Who Is Taking the Responsibility?

Your days are long and you are really thinking about giving up. That’s right you are feeling over whelmed. Starting this internet business is more work than you thought it would be. What are you going to do? Go back to working for someone else is an option and so is moving forward with what you have started and dive in to it like your live depends on it.

Some people lack the discipline it takes to succeed at a business. They start a business because they think they can get rich over night. If you’re a lazy person you will not succeed at a business or anything else. Never under-estimate your own laziness and lack of responsibility. It’s not working the way you think it should, so there for it is someone else’s fault. They hold others accountable for their decisions and look for excuses to why things are not working.

You are not succeeding because you lack responsibility and accountability for your actions. I cannot help those who will not help themselves. This is your life and how do you live it? You can work for others and let your employer control your life. If you are waiting for something great to happen you are not making decisions to change what is not right in your life. Buy not making these decisions you are waiting for someone else to make the decisions for you. Procrastination is not a skill it is a lack of control. It shows others that they are not important, that you don’t care if things get done because you don’t want to do it or someone will come along and do it for you.

Your job as a business owner is to develop skill that you will need to become successful. When you put the responsibility on to someone else you hold them accountable. If you don’t want to do the work it takes, you are better off working for someone else. Let them schedule how much you are going to have off to spend with your family and friends. Go can’t just sit there and wait for things to change.

Does your job take care of you when you are sick or comfort you when you lose someone who you love? I’m not saying that you are lazy because you work for someone else. If that works for you that’s fine, so don’t complain that you don’t get enough money, credit or time because you have given that power to your employer. Take responsibility for your choices. You do what you do, because it makes you feel good when you are doing it. No one twisted your arm to start to start a business.

You may think you’re not in control because of your responsibilities to your family, yet you do nothing to change your situation. This is too hard, is an excuse that most people use. I tell you that you can do what you put your mind to. It is up to you to get the skills you need to enrich your life. It is amazing what you can do if you don’t give up. No one said it would be easy they only said they would show you they way. You have to do your part, you have to take responsibility.

Responsibility is taking part in the opportunity. You cannot have the spoils without the work. If you know what you have to do and you don’t do it you have no one to blame but yourself. In order to achieve the success you desire you have to attack it as your life depends on it. Get your hands on the training you need and then take action on it.

If you got in to business to get rich quick then you are not going to see the gifts that you get along the way. You will give up before your journey is started. The journey is there for you to experience growing as a person. Learning the skills to help others by showing them the opportunities and giving them the tools they need to succeed. You cannot do it for them you can only show them the path.

Develop Your Business Character

 Look at yourself and see what parts of your personality you would like to change. If you are waiting for others to change you are in big trouble. The people in your life don’t want you to control them. Don’t dwell on them, the person that is reading this is the one that needs changes. As we work on ourselves other will changing around us or is it that they aren’t changing we are. Your perception is what is changing.

Investing in a relationship is emotional, you are constantly working on it and yourself. You will want to bring your best every time you are with them. That is why it is so important to build strong relationships with friends and family. You can bring your best to every person you meet and that doesn’t mean you have to emotionally invest in them.

As I work on my posture, the way I look at people is changing. People that are rude to me or don’t take time to listen to what I have to offer really doesn’t matter any more. I don’t emotionally invest in what they are going to say or do until I see what type of person they are. I can tell in just a few seconds if the person is positive or negative. I have decided that I am a positive person and want positive people around me. Does that mean they are going to what my offer? They probably won’t and that’s okay. This business model doesn’t hinge on whether they join me. I talk to so many people, that a single person will not make or break my business. There are millions of people who what to hear what I am offering and if it is an opportunity they can see themselves in.

Confident and disciplined are a few things that successful business people have. They let rejection roll of their back. The people you partner with are the people who have a vision of a positive outcome. It is your outlook that determines what you want out of the business relationship. I want to spend time with people who are willing to succeed.

Would you be willing to?

  • Treat others the way you would like to be treated
  • Do just about anything to get to their goal
  • Trust worthy
  • Treat other with respect
  • Willing to compromise
  • Listen to what others say
  • Learn from them
  • Teach them something they need to succeed as a business partner

The reason I ask these questions is because these are the characteristics that I look for in every relationship I have. These are the some of the things I worked on to become a good partner. Don’t be self deceptive, If you by-pass yourself when you learn these things and go right to teaching them to others, you are not working on your character and it will show in everything you do. Be ready to follow and learn the characteristic of people you admire. Lead as a teacher in your action and your words.

We want to think that we jumped into this business with a clear idea about what we have to do. We are not willing to become the person that we want to work with. As I develop in this business I want to learn as much as I can so I can bring an open positive person to each relationship I have in business.

What is an Entrepreneur Made of?

There are many people who come to mind when we hear the word entrepreneur. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are examples of great entrepreneur because they changed their lives by helping other. Our lives will never go back to what they were before computers because of these men and the choices they made.

Before the McDonald’s came along we ate at home or at a local restaurant that were own and operated buy a person or a family. The McDonald brothers who owned restaurants that severed the same quality product, a simple and effective operation. They ran their restaurant business on a few items concentrating on cleanliness, quality and uniformity.They did everything the same at more than one location. Ray Kroc seen this business model as a product. He knew that he could take this restaurant and copy it and open restaurants like this all over the world. His vision was to create his business by giving other entrepreneurs the opportunity to own a profitable business. You would be in business for yourself but not by yourself. Investing your money in a proven business model through duplication everyone benefits. Ray Kroc caused a disruption in the restaurant industry and changed may lives by supplying what people needed to make a dream of owning a business a reality. Each location any where in the world would have a business owner spending their own money invested in the success of the business and the brand McDonalds.

This is an example that shows us how an entrepreneur thinks. These brothers knew if they wanted to succeed they had to come up with a simple model that could be copied with same quality of the product and Ray Kroc could see these restaurants were the product that he could see all over the world. He knew that he could not do it alone so he helped others with a dream to own their own business. Helped them get started and he supplied an opportunity based on a proven product and those who took advantage of the opportunity are McDonalds’ owners. Franchising the business he made it possible for everyone to profit. He took ordinary people and gave them the opportunity to own a successful business.

Qualities of an Entrepreneur

  • A person who starts and supports a business of their own.
  • Uses their business to help others.
  • A visionary with a clear and precise goal.
  • Take advantage of opportunity.
  • Know that communication as a priceless tool.
  • Take emotion out of the decision process. Willing to make decisions and keep their focus on the goal.
  • Trust worthy, a team player and is supportive of the people around them.Uses direct contact and can follow as well as lead.
  • Leads through chaos knowing the risk.A negotiator who is willing to use personality skills to get others to agree.
  • Telescoping in and out, ready to make changes that will affect the business.
  • Use their business by helping others as they help themselves.

People who own their own business and control every minute of their lives are entrepreneurs. The way they live is important and working for others is giving up power over their life. They are willing to change to do what it takes to get what they want. It is part of the way they live is part of their identity. Entrepreneurs are people with a vision who start and support a business. They see an opportunity and act on it. They don’t live their lives waiting for a pay check they go out and create their wealth. Thinking outside of the box and listening to their gut is as important as breathing for an entrepreneur.

Entrepreneurs welcoming change around every corner, they have been known to shake things up just to keep it interesting. Disruption is a great tool when used at the right time. Entrepreneurs use change it to their advantage. Successful people are open to change because it brings opportunity. They stand out as leaders and are rewarded with success. An entrepreneur starts a business alone and realizes that he may own the business, but can do nothing without the people around them. They live a life of training and negotiating. They are willing to share their knowledge and opportunity with everyone they meet.

Life is our challenge that has no limits. Going forward is part of growing up, yet some of us rise above the standard for a happy life. We want control over how we live and the time we have while we are alive. The people who don’t settle, are willing to change and will do what it takes to get what they want. This is what entrepreneur are made of.

The wage you make will decide how much you can afford to spend and your retirement is based on the money you are trying to save. How are you going to send your kids to college? These are just some of the problems that we have when we are at the mercy of others.

Today so many of us live in fear, there is no job security and the unemployment lines are getting longer. These problems are because some else is in control. This is the time you take control of your time and how you make your income. Right now is a great time to check what direction you want your life to take. It is the time you take control of your time and how you make your income. You can make a choice to stay where you are and do nothing or make a change to increase your earnings. How Can I Get Myself in a Better Position?

 Posture was so important when we were growing up, sit up straight, raise your head and don’t slouch. We heard that every day, my dad was in the military and posture was very important because it is the way people see you and you want to show your strengths not your weakness, he would say. So we did as we were told and we grew up with great posture.

I am in a marketing business myself and I can see why it is so important. People want you to take the lead and they put their trust in those of us that have great mental posture. The posture of a person can tell so much about whom they are and where they are going. My father was not only talking about physical posture he was all so talking about your mental posture. When you meet a person you want to leave a good impression, you want people to see that you are confidant and that what you do matters. You want to show off the education you have and make those around you comfortable as you engage in conversation.

When you are in business for yourself you want other to see that you are strong, capable and ready to do whatever it takes. People come to you because you are confident and that makes them feel safe. They can see you do what you say and take pride in what you do. Posturing yourself is not always easy when you are just starting out. Fear of the unknown and how people will respond to you, your product or your offer will paralyzing some people who think they have what it takes to succeed.

Many famous people are so much different when you meet them in person. While you see them one way their friends and family see them another. They have to put on a game face, so to speak to deal with performing in front of people. The talent they show off is only a very small part of who they are. So many of us have to put on our game face when we start, we want people to take what we are doing serious. We want them to take a look at us as the authority and fear keeps us from taking those first steps to putting on our game face.

That is why it is so important to practice what you are going to say and how you are going to say it. A singer does not go out on stage without practicing the song that they are going to sing and you should not call or talk to people without know what to say. One of the things I do is record what I am going to say and then listen to it over and over until it becomes part of my posture. I want to know what I am talking about when someone questions me about my business and I want them to feel confident that I am the one to show them how to succeed in a marketing business.

Everyone has the potential to change what they are doing if they want to, but you cannot give someone the drive to do it. They either have it or they don’t, fear will stop you in your tracks if you are not ready to do whatever it takes to get what you want. That is why you start your business you need to be prepare before you open the doors to let anyone inside. If you are in direct sales you deal with people every day and you have to posture yourself for you are your business. You know the products and the opportunity work, which is why you have chosen this business model to go forward with the goals you have set for yourself.

Practice, practice, practice, on the phone, with your family and friends and have fun because you are on your way to an incredible life style one that not everyone can do. You don’t need a better place you need to posture yourself in the place you in.

Our military will not go to battle without running drill after drill until they have no fear of battle and the ones that are not sure will never show their fear because it would cost them their life. My dad was in two wars and if he were here he would say… “Straighten up; get the job done, the more you do it the less you think about what you are doing,  just do it.” The worse thing that can happen is someone will say no and guess what? Most of them will, get ready by not caring about rejection, let it roll off your back because this is a number business and there are people who do say yes and those are the ones with the drive to succeed. You are in a place to guide them and that’s what matters.

Marketing is not what it used to be. Today you have to reach for more than a home party to make money at network marketing. So here are some things you should question before you start building your business with any company.

Is the compensation plan worth your time? That means an income stream that will support a steady flow of income. The training, product and an earning potential is powerful. You want to draw interest to your prospects. Those of us that work with a powerful earning team know how important it is to get what a person needs in their hands as soon as possible so that they can start making other money right away. A powerful plan that they can duplicate is important when adding a company to their business plan. How do you make money with this? By earning residual income, customers and recruiting.

Today entrepreneur are tomorrow’s teachers. Building a company that supports a team of business investors that count on the opportunities in place to recruit is much different from the news juice or supplement they offer. You can work yourself to death for a couple of dollars if the compensation plan is not worth the paper it’s on. See it doesn’t matter how great the product is unless you are the one who developed it. You need to distribute it. The hype about how much money we are going to make, means nothing unless you put it into the hands of the people driven to succeed. The entrepreneur will know whether they can work with your opportunity and will do what it takes to succeed. You are developing business relationship with people just like you who want to profit from the time and money they invest. These people are there to teach so that we all will profit.

You supply what we need and in turn we deliver your product and opportunity to the next generation of entrepreneur. So the things I look for in a compensation plan are can you build a business around it, Is it teachable to others, will it produce residual income.

Study the complain plan, asks questions and take part in a recruiting webinar and meeting to see if the person presenting the offer is giving you what you need to succeed. The compensation plain is more than the opportunity it is the person behind it. Do they have what it takes to train you to do what they do and show you how to earn that residual income? We are entrepreneurs and we hold ourselves at a higher standard when it comes to our business and when you put an offer on the table you have to back it up with action or we will go find someone who will.

Have Fun With It

Recruitment meetings are a part of the business. Every time we enter a room we are sharing an opportunity that will change someone’s life. The doors open, you can feel the excitement in the air as the leaders enter the room. The music tonight is the sounds of happy people talking about what is going to take place. You look around the room you see your team members, newly qualified prospects, friends and even family. Tonight is about catching up with the people on your team, brain storming your next move, announcing a new product launch and handing out the awards. All is good and ready to begin…

The people you bring to these events have gone through your screening process and are open to the opportunity or at the very least curious to see if they are ready to make that commit. Now is the time that they can see you at your best. Show off your team to your prospects so they will know who they can always count on to share their experience and knowledge and they will appreciate the acknowledgement. They love to show off their skills to. Fellowship is what brings us together we are a group of ordinary people who live fantastic lives. Your people need to feel like they are welcome even if they don’t sign on the bottom line. They have the character that you admire in a person that is why you invited them.

Leave them with an example that will stick with them. Have fun and to tell you the truth I don’t care if you take advantage of the opportunity or not, I just got to spend some time with people I enjoy. Not everyone is ready for an opportunity. I have brought you here it’s up to you to want it. Networking is nothing more than getting together with others, doing a little work and having fun while you’re doing it.

Every person in the room is there to support each other effort and take advantage of the opportunity to show off what they did and how they did it and to see if you want to do it to. When you bring your people to the meeting they can get answer on the spot from your team members that have been around this business longer than you. They are more than willing to share their stories, so introduce the people you brought to you team, make them feel at home. After the meeting take your people for coffee or a drink. Talk about the meeting and find out what they thought. Tell them why you are so excited about the changes in your life and how much time and fun you have. Everything you talk about is possible because of the decision you made to become an entrepreneur. We are the living example of what could be possible when you decide you what to work for yourself.
